dislikes: sword clerks, carrots, being hungry, not being able to flirt with guys, when her valuables break/ get tattered/ ruined.

about her
Caroline is a thief who can steal pretty much anything. She is multitalented and multi lingual as well as (more) playful and flirty towards the opposite sex. She has a tendency to disappear and appear at the perfect moment.

Her personality is that of self preservation thanks to her history, in which she doesn’t talk about. Caroline is quite antisocial and wont warm up to anyone unless they do something to get her attention (nine times out of ten all you have to do is be nice to her. She will love someone more if they treated her to food or drink and treat them like family if they practically adopt her. IE: team Kurohasukai), in return, Caroline is quite affectionate.

her past
She was thrown out into a world she identified as hell.
Without her having any record of family, she lived in an orphanage where she was excluded, emotionally abused and picked on by the children because of her hair color(which was some gastly red color before the sun bleached it to death), slow speed, and inability to talk. Because she didn’t have many means of communication, she often made grunting sounds, screamed, bite and scratch whenever she felt threatened. The screaming on a constant basis let to the upsetting of the owner, and on a constant basis the owner (being an old woman) beat her arms so she would not hit back and her legs and feet so she could not escape away. These occurrences made her hate people, especially elderly women and children, and caused her to snap to the point of self defense and murder, killing the owner and burning the orphanage. She escaped carrying a burnt doll, which wasn’t hers, containing a hair comb she now wears in her hair.
As she grew, she became a drifter, wondering around endlessly for food to eat and money to get. At this stage in her life she started to steal items ideal for survival which soon progressed into stealing pretty objects.
A very merciful geisha made Caroline her apprentice sometime around age 8. Caroline learned to speak, walk, and act properly. The geisha also hired a foreign teacher to teach Caroline to speak in different languages and fight, thus she was named “Caroline” because the teacher had a daughter named this. Of course, Caroline could have chosen to stay with this lifestyle, however she knew it would end tragically because almost every event in her life that didn’t include self defense always did. So before things could go bad, Caroline stole the Geisha’s furisode (very fancy kimono), makeup, food, and any other item she could stuff in the foreside’s sleeves, and hopped whatever transportation got her anywhere faster than her feet could take her.
In a later time, she got word that the geisha she had once lived with had been assassinated, and the foreigner had disappeared without the hope of a trace. The news had devastated Caroline and she broke down, ending up somewhere in Europe via boat and began shutting down, once again being reduced to what she was before. A year later she ended up recovering, still the damage had left her emotionally detached and she cursed the world. She learned to use different weapons to forget about her life, mastered them, and got frustrated with having nothing else to learn. In this she lived on the streets of France for a few months.
She figured out she could manipulate the opposite sex by looking pretty and getting what she wanted…when she started liking boys that is. Caroline thieved and flirted her way back to Japan, finding new ways to enjoy life in which she didn’t have to be anyone’s friend accept money, tea, items, sake, and the occasional sucker who would give her property to live on in exchange for a kiss.
Throughout her life, she hasn’t had a genuine smile until she became a member of the Kurohasukai. Caroline discovered she could be very caring towards people she felt to be family...and she also discovered that she isn’t the only one who “lived in hell”. For once in a long time she has other shoulders to lie on besides herself. With this she crammed her past into a mental box with chains and thirty locks, never having to open it agin.


The Bath house
She’s a hard worker and gets good tips. She usually services male customers…almost automatically. However, as long as the tips are good, she could service Bigfoot and demons without ever letting go of her smile.

She is the last one in and the last one out when she is bathing; settling in the murkiest parts of the water so nobody can see the scars on her arms and lets. It’s in this rare time she isn’t wearing makeup.
